The North Carolina Division of Transportation issued a warning Wednesday morning that traffic conditions may be severe due to “Women drivers, Rain, and Obama Care.”
Mike Charbonneau, NCDOT spokesperson, released a statement saying,
“We did not get hacked. After an investigation this afternoon we learned that an (information technology) contractor who was hired six months ago was performing routine tests on the TIMS feed. And that individual violated procedures by failing to turn off the external feed while testing, and for the inappropriate message content.”
The contractor who was hired for the tests has since been fired.
