Irony is not in Greta Van Susteren’s vocabulary. Writing in her blog Thursday, she accused the President of being “petty” and “childish” for attacking Fox News during a recent speech on the economy in Illinois.
This comes from the woman who earlier in the week criticized the president because he can talk about a “war on women” but refuses to talk about a “war on ISIS.”
In July when Obama was on a well deserved vacation, she criticized him for going to Martha’s Vineyard instead of the U.S./Mexican border, lying to her viewers by insinuating that they were the ones paying for his vacation. Nothing “petty” or “childish” in those attacks.
Van Susteren was upset about a comment that the President made where he said that “while good affordable healthcare might seem like a fanged threat to the freedom of the American people on Fox News, it turns out it’s working pretty well in the real world.”
“There is a lot of VERY SERIOUS stuff going on in the world. That’s what the President should be talking about.
The President is in Illinois speaking to an audience of college students. He should be setting a good example to college students – he should be Presidential, not petty.”
She went on to crow that she was grateful for the free publicity the President was providing to Fox. She then went on to warn her readers to not allow him to claim that it was a “slip of the tongue” because he doubled down on the attack by later posting a tweet saying the very same thing.
