CNN’s Don Lemon revealed a frightening piece of information about the National Guard called in by Governor Jay Nixon in an effort to suppress the First Amendment: They’re just as racist as those who are willing to convict Michael Brown of “strong-arm robbery” without a trial and posthumously sentence him to death by execution at the hands of Officer Darren Wilson–despite the fact that Brown was unarmed.
An independent autopsy revealed that not only was Brown shot from behind once, but that Brown’s body did not reveal any signs of a physical struggle between the teenager and the police officer. However, many white people have risen up in support of the embattled law enforcement officer. The Ku Klux Klan and other groups of white people are raising tens of thousands of dollars in “reward” money for Officer Wilson. The GoFundMe campaign alone has raised more than $60,000 to date.
Lemon, who was accosted by police for attempting to cover the protests, revealed that one of his producers was warned about the “n*ggers” in Ferguson. The anchor was hosting a town hall called “Black and White in America” when someone asked what “safeguards” police departments can employ to prevent more “Michael Browns” in the future.
One panelist suggested body cameras in order to increase accountability, Lemon said that may also change the types of people who choose to enter law enforcement.
“I’m just going to be honest with you. Last night, one of my producers said that they — I won’t say if it’s a he or she, because I don’t want to give anyone away — said they came in contact with one of the members of the National Guard and that they said, ‘You want to get out of here because you’re white, because these n-words, you never know what they’re going to do.’ True story. I kid you not. 2014, a member of the National Guard. And my producer doesn’t lie. It is a true story.”
