Georgia lawyer Paul J. Kaplan had some choice words for his Representative, Teabagger and Obamacare jihadi Jack Kingston. Paul’s an old-fashioned kind of Southern gentleman, evidenced by the facts that he A) sent his paper letter via the “post off ice,” and B) is apparently familiar with the ancient sport of the “base ball.” But Kingston’s an old-fashioned kind of Teabagger.
Before the shutdown, Kingston told WTOC Savannah that he didn’t expect a shutdown, and he’s publicly said that he didn’t think tying the ACA to the debt ceiling was a good idea. Then again, that might have something to do with the fact that Tea Man had already written a letter to John Boehner pushing his bill to “decrease regulatory overreach” and (of course) defund the ACA (Obamacare).
The fact that the insurance industry is now his second-largest contributor for the 2014 election cycle (having already cut him a check for about $80,000) probably has nothing to do with his bill. Shame that’s about double what lawyers sent him in 2012. Even so, Paul…maybe our “man of the people” Kingston can look past that fat insurance money to see the reason in your argument.
And, Hell…if this letter fails, try cutting him a check for 80 grand. That’ll get you a bill and a letter to John Boehner, at least.
