The latest debunked Obamacare “victim” appeared on the bastion of truth that is FOX News to tell the world she’s had enough of being called a liar because she lied. In the most recent Koch-funded deluge of dishonesty, a woman by the name of Julie Boonstra lamented her loss of a $1,100/month plan, which she replaced with one that costs much less–$571 per month.
She claims the out-of-pocket costs are higher, but did not mention that even with out-of-pocket costs at their maximum ($6350 per year) her new plan would cost only $2 more. Julie admits she doesn’t know all the numbers, but one thing is for sure–Obamacare is the devil.
Undeterred by an obligation to not mislead the public in a political ad, nor by the resulting mention the target of the ad, Michigan Rep. Gary Peters has made to those who chose to air this lie-filled hit piece that FCC licenses could be at risk if they continued to promote such a “false and misleading” ad, Boonstra joined FOX News to tell her side of the story: She doesn’t care what the facts are, she just knows what she knows–and those bullies who demand that political ads be honest–“They’re not scaring me. Cancer scares me,” she said. “I battle cancer every day. They’re not going to intimidate me.”
True to the FOX News spirit, Boonstra stuck to her story: Under my old policy, I knew what I could afford every single month because I wasn’t hit with extra charges. Now I don’t know what I have to pay month to month,” she said. “Leukemia tests are extremely expensive.”
“I am not lying. … I was lied to,” the liar added.
