Bill O’Reilly has some advice for those Americans who are living paycheck to paycheck. The millionaire TV host for Fox News wants Americans to stop wasting money.
O’Reilly claimed that 48 million Americans are working in low paying jobs, he also blamed President Obama for salaries being down under his administration, a claim that is debatable and one used by Mitt Romney often in the 2012 presidential race.
Yet, with 46% of Americans living paycheck to paycheck as O’Reilly states, what can one do?
According to O’Reilly, this is simple. For starters, he says every single American needs to have $25,000 in savings at all time, an easy task for a millionaire, not so easy for those who make minimum wage and do not make 25k a year.
This does not stop O’Reilly from dishing out his much needed advice:
- Never waste money. You don’t need all those trinkets.
- Get rid of your vices. You know, don’t enjoy things.
- Save your lose change, apparently bill thinks we have so much lose change per month everyone can pay their cable bill with change. Cable bill? I thought he said not to waste money? Oh right, if you cancel cable, you cant hear his nonsense.
- Save ten cents for every dollar you make. Because living off $7.25 is hard enough, enjoy living off $7.15 instead.
I’m sure those living under the poverty line are grateful for Bill’s assistance in getting their financial lives back on track.
