I really cannot even stand the sight of this man anymore. From the clear mental deficit evident by looking into his eyes, to his overwhelming support of disobedience of the Supreme Court, Mike Huckabee is a complete and utter joke.
The only reason this guy is still around is because of the amount of people who still run their lives by an outdated book that abominates the characteristics of all humans. The seven deadly sins speak for themselves, do they not?
This douche nozzle was recently talking at the Eagle Forum, a right-wing organization, when he said:
“Are they really escaping tyranny, are they escaping poverty, or are they really just coming because we’ve got cable TV? I don’t meant to be trite. I’m just saying: We don’t know.”
Huckabee goes on to say that his plan would help refugees while protecting Americans from possible Syrian extremists. He says we should stick the refugees in Saudi Arabia and send funds and assistance to help feed, clothe and provide medical care.
Only problem is, the Saudi’s say hell no.
Huckabee then proves to the world that he has no knowledge of American history:
“This idea that we have an obligation to receive vast numbers of people … we have a real obligation to make sure that we protect the sovereignty of the United States. That’s not a lack of Christian charity. It’s the essence of charity, to provide for needs, but not to put your own children at risk, if what you’re importing could be people who have a nefarious purpose for wanting to be here.”
He is obviously under the assumption that all brown people are bad. I doubt most republicans would have as big a problem with a surge of Irish refugees. In fact, you hear nothing about the 50 million German Americans, who also comprise the largest ancestry group in America.
The Washington Post asked him, after the speech, to respond to the Pope’s call to all Christians to embrace refugees by providing shelter. To which Huckabee responded:
“I think Christians ought to provide relief, whether we should bring them to the United States, or we should help make sure that needs are being met, closer to their culture, country, language. Bringing them to the United States would be a language shock, a culture shock, perhaps a religious shock. Perhaps there should be opportunity to review and give consideration of people who are escaping the swords of ISIS and are being beheaded because they’re Christian, or because they’re Jewish, or because they’re Muslim. We should consider that.”
So, in short, you’re only worth saving if you’re facing religious persecution. And we all know that this loony toon’s definition of persecution includes being forced to carry out the duties of the job for which you applied. The horror!!!
Class act, Mike. Keep up the complete waste of time that is your political career.
