Could the Tea Party really be over? Probably not, though its popularity is certainly circling the bowl, along with the numbers of active Tea Party groups. In 2010 there were at least 900 active Tea Party groups, and now that number is down to around 600 according to www.alternet.org.
In January 2013, we all snickered and smiled when right-wing nut job pollster Rasmussen Reports, found membership in the Tea Party movement among likely voters to have nose-dived to a mere 8 percent. That’s down from 24 percent in 2010 when these angry degenerate idiots were screaming “Kill The Bill!” Included in the Rassmussen findings also, were that half of likely voters viewed the Tea Party UNFAVORABLY. That’s a kick in the tea bag.
That brings us to Papantonio’s segment. He begins by asking,” The Tea Party has clearly lost its strangle-hold on the Republican Party, but have they finally been pushed into extinction?” We don’t think the Tea Party is going anywhere any time soon. They’re fueled by the ugliest and darkest characteristics people can possess. As long as things such as hate, fear, ignorance, bigotry, misogyny, racism, xenophobia, homophobia, intolerance, desire for theocracy, and jingoistic nationalism exist: There will always be something like the Tea Party.
