Mike Huckabee is still lining up his potential aspirations for being president. According to remarks that Huckabee made on Wednesday, teenager Mike Brown would be alive today if he’d acted “like something other than a thug.”
And all the aging Fox geriatrics who view any Black teenager that doesn’t dress in his Sunday best every day of the week and address them with “yes massa” as a thug, nod their head in agreement.
Huckabee made the comments about Brown during an appearance on NewsMax TV’s “America’s Forum” on Wednesday.
“It’s a horrible thing that he was killed, but he could have avoided that, if he’d have behaved like something other than a thug,” Huckabee said. He added that he was “disgusted” with politicians and athletes who took up the “hands up, don’t shoot” gesture in protest of Brown’s shooting death, saying:
Well, first of all, I found it just incredibly dangerous that you have members of Congress, on the floor of Congress, holding up their hands in the ‘hands up don’t shoot’ position, as if to say that somehow that is gonna get you shot.
Huckabee went on to add that:
I’m gonna tell you something — what gets you shot is when you grab a police officer’s gun, and you lunge at him, and you try to hit him in the face. And this nonsense that — telling young people ‘don’t hold up your hands, ’cause thats gonna get you in trouble,’ and instead I guess what they’re teaching them is go loot a store, beat up a cop, reach for his gun, hope you get it before he does. This is not only foolish and dangerous but it’s really on the verge of anarch
You know what else puts us on the verge of anarchy? Ranchers who freely and willingly steal public property and point guns a government officials who come to make them pay their dues to society. Of course, we all know that Huckabee would never defend those thugs, right?
“I’m not here to jump in on the middle of whether Cliven Bundy ought to pay the state or pay anybody for the chance for his cows to eat some grass,” Huckabee said. “Here’s what I would suggest: that there is something incredibly wrong when a government believes that some blades of grass that a cow is eating is so an egregious affront to the government of the United States that we would literally put a gun in a citizen’s face and threaten to shoot him over it.”
