When she isn’t lying about Central American children, or accidentally admitting that Republicans don’t want immigration reform because immigrants aren’t Republicans, the woman who calls the same movement that spawned birtherism “Operation American Spring” and Zeeda Andrews an “intellectual movement,” has yet another false reason for the Right to hate gays: Those despicable homosexuals all want to rape children.
Sounds scary, huh?
During a Wednesday appearance on the conservative radio show “Faith and Liberty,” the Bachmann said that the LGBT community is pushing “deviancy,” “tyranny” and child rape. According to “pray the gay away” advocate Marcus Bachmann’s wife, sinister gays want to legalize polygamy, enact “hate speech laws all across the United States”, and “abolish age of consent laws, which means we will do away with statutory rape laws so that adults will be able to freely prey on little children sexually. That’s the deviance that we’re seeing embraced in our culture today.” All of this, of course, is happening to bring about the “rise of tyranny.”
Bachmann complained about the Supreme Court’s striking down of the federal portion of the Defense of Marriage Act as a “denial of equal protection for all Americans.”
“This is a revolution that we are encountering now,” she said of same-sex marriage. “For all of the thousands of years of recorded human history, about 5,000 years, there is no instance of any culture, nation or tribe ever having as the established standard for marriage anything other than between man and woman. It may have been multiple women and a man, it may have been something like that, but it was always between men and women.”
Bachmann said that marriage equality is a “radical experiment” that will have “profound consequences.” She asserted that “that nature tells us, our biology tells us that marriage is between man and a woman, when we tamper with something that was generated by the Creator of the Universe, I think there are profound consequences that we haven’t yet realized.”
While it’s not the first time that we have heard that homosexuality is not as legitimate as heterosexuality, her assertion that gay people want to throw children to the nation’s predators is nearly as insane as the thought of solving the border crisis by tossing land mines down in order to be rid of pesky children attempting to cross in order to escape crippling poverty, violence, and oppression.
