McDermott threw the ‘F’ bomb, she said: Rep. Jim McDermott (D-Wash) blew off a bit of steam while confronting Megyn Kelley of Fox News. He said she needed to quit putting words into his mouth.
McDermott has a sour taste between his lips since the government shutdown and, as a result, let the ‘F’ bomb stumble out his mouth. McDermott (a physician in Seattle), is much in favor of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), “although it didn’t go as far as the single-payer system that [he] championed [nearly] a quarter century ago.”
McDermott has often times compared Republicans to “Terrorists” for not signing and implementing a bill that would get the ball rolling for the ACA. In addition, McDermott has requested for ‘Obamacare’ to be “defunded” and wants everyone to reconsider a ‘clean’ budget bill. As a result of this, the government is now transitioning into its second week of shutdown.
“Dealing with terrorists has taught us some things. You can’t deal with ‘em. This mess was created by the Republicans with one purpose, and they lost.”
“People in my district are calling in for Obamacare — affordable health care — in large numbers. Why would House Democrats give away what the 2012 electorate didn’t? You can’t say, O.K., you can get half of Obamacare — this isn’t a Solomon-like decision. So we sit here until they figure out they f—-n’ lost.”
A Seattle blog posts: “Dan Savage, give that man a column in The Stranger.”
No telling what will influence the ears of politicians next, but maybe . . . just maybe, it will be the ‘F’ bomb.
