A Massachusetts lunch lady named Wendy Ferris may be able to see the silver lining over the occasional spilled milk, but when it came to an argument with staff over some burnt cookies it was enough to tip her over the edge and threaten to “shoot this @#!#@! school up” with an AK-47. Needless to say, as of Monday Ferris is now on administrative leave, has had all her guns taken away, and is banned from going anywhere near King Philip Middle School or anyone who works there.
According to reports by My Fox Boston, Ferris was both “going off” and in an “uproar” after another kitchen employee had the audacity to re-bake cookies she had made earlier in the day become Ferris had overcooked her batch. During her rant, Ferris made a visit to the cafeteria manager’s office on the hunt for a band-aid where she was quoted as saying “I’m thinking about going out to buy an AK-47 and shooting this (expletive) school up!”
Ferris was clearly having “one of those days” on Friday, because her threat to spray the school with a hail of bullets came after she had already made veiled threats hours earlier about her ability to “bring a gun in and shoot people.” Coworkers initially laughed off the first remarks, but when word traveled through the kitchen that Ferris had made more threats, that’s when things got a little to “real” and a report was made to the food services director.
Ferris, being yet another “responsible gun owner” that Republicans and the NRA are vigilantly looking out for, was known by staff as being a hunter and a gun owner, so when threats were made by Ferris about swinging by the old gun store and picking up an AK-47 to shoot up the school, they knew she at least had the know-how.
Ferris was in court on Monday and a judge placed her under a $5000 bail, ordered her to stay away from the school and the staff, and tyrannically stripped her of her God-given right to wave guns around and threaten people with them.
The only person who apparently hasn’t ticked Ferris off enough to get a face full of lead is her husband who made a statement outside the courthouse on Monday saying that there was no way the allegations against her were true, and that she is absolutely “a great person.”
That’s the way the cookie crumbles … after being shot repeatedly with an AK-47.
