Last summer, discredited pseudohistorian David Barton warned of consequences darker than French Roast if you patronize Starbucks. Their support of marriage equality has him frothing like a venti cappuccino, as he told his “Wallbuilders Live” audience “you can’t drink Starbucks and be biblically right.”
On the same program yesterday, his guest was Chris Walker, Executive Director of 2nd Vote, a conservative consumer advocacy group. They have developed a 2nd Vote app, which fulfills Barton’s prophetic vision of being faithful to God through consumer choice. It informs the user which businesses endorse the dreaded liberal social agenda. This app will make sure your arrival at the pearly gates isn’t impeded by accidentally buying a coffee from one of the minions of evil like Starbucks. Barton explains:
“I’m not talking about people who differ with us theologically on this point or that, I’m talking about the whole value system, people who reject God’s value system across the board and if we go help them, then we’re in trouble with God because we’re helping the enemies. It’d be like an act of treason.”
Glad he cleared that up. There are wrong consumer choices, and then there is treason. It would be interesting if progressives started using this app, so that they know which businesses should get their treacherous shopping dollars. Thank you, David Barton and Chris Walker. It’s the least you could do for the liberals’ eternal quest to commit treason against God and ensure their highway to hell is mighty wide and smooth — all the way to the next Starbucks exit.
