Is there no subject in which Pat Robertson doesn’t believe he has expertise?
A viewer of his 700 Club television program posed the question: why doesn’t Robertson pray for medical miracles, such as limbs being regenerated?
Is probably due to the reality of science and medicine being too prevalent, but then again, we’re talking about Pat Robertson here. Also, Robertson probably doesn’t pray for things such as limbs to be regenerated because it won’t happen and he will again be exposed as a fraud.
Robertson brought the query on himself by repeating that God is like “Santa Claus” passing out financial largesse and miraculous healing.
The televangelist explained to the audience that one must pray for health. You know, the regular generic stuff. Still, Robertson isn’t afraid to play the death card.
During one fundraising show, Robertson claimed that God was going to call him home if the money fell short. Not to mention that two years ago, he planned to raise the dead.
One of the roles of religion should be to help people deal with all the challenges in their lives. There are things that cannot be changed but faith may provide the tools to help people to not only cope with tragedy but also grow stronger and help others.
Or make horrific statements about gay folks and constantly try to extract money from viewers.
