Busta Troll, the mastermind behind the infiltration, acquisition, and covering with goat memes, of a Facebook page that posted a Photoshopped image of President Obama’s lynching, has been the proverbial pineapple in Hitler’s rectum (bonus points if you get that reference) lately.
Ever since Busta gained a small amount of fame from his takeover of the “Obama lynching page” and subsequent “goatings” of other racist bastions of misinformation, a massive conservative effort began to uncover the identity of Busta Troll, with the Examiner’s David W. Thornton acting as a mouthpiece for virtually anyone who wanted to whine that their Facebook page was now under the control of goats.
Thornton often posted unverified information in his fervor to “out” and destroy the liberal thorn in conservatives’ paws. Recently, that came back to bite Thornton when the identity of Busta Troll was revealed on Facebook. Thornton, leaping on the opportunity to “out” the notorious trolls, requested an interview with Busta — or, “Christopher Lyman” as they believed him to be.
Busta Troll told Thornton:
“I started goating pages because I can’t stand it when a page posts ridiculous rumors that can be easily debunked by five minutes of searching Google. When they post those things and won’t listen to reason, I feel it’s better for the general public to see a harmless picture of goats instead.”
Of course, Busta’s personal information is safe, and Thornton has egg on his face. “I don’t think they care about the truth at all,” Busta told AATTP.
“Kevin Kopper,” a Facebook page that “outed” Busta’s personal information, had posted that he offered a $1,000 reward for the “information.” Busta, in a video released celebrating this victory, stated he donated the $1,000 to Planned Parenthood.
As people praised Busta for the donation, he felt guilty. While that line was inserted into the video in an effort to have some fun, the troll began to receive praise for the donation. Busta decided that he needed to fix this grievous error.
“The troll we pulled off came with a video, and in the video I stated that I took the $1000 and donated it to planned parenthood…It was done for effect and because it was pretty funny…It bothered me when people started praising me for donating $1000 that didn’t exist, so I called on my followers and friends to help this lower middle class tradesman (rumor has it I do countertops) raise that $1000 in the name of “Rightwing Nutjobs”, and so we did…In just under 3 days we broke the 1K barrier,” Busta told AATTP.
And the troll’s fans followed suit.
In just a few days, Busta and his followers have donated over $2,010.00 to Planned Parenthood. According to the much-loved troll, many have promised donations at a later date, as they are waiting on paychecks.
This is not Busta Troll’s first worthwhile fundraising effort. Wayde Erb, the administrator of Barack Obama’s Werewolf Army, who recently received over $10,000 toward his brain surgery thanks to the liberal Facebook community, told AATTP that Busta Troll was involved in circulating the GoFundMe page and was very supportive of efforts to raise money to remove a brain tumor.
Erb says he is doing quite well after the surgery. “Going great. Just had a follow up with the surgeon yesterday and everything’s moving along. I’m off of all prescription painkillers now and starting to feel much better,” he said via Facebook. “I’m still in shock from all of the support. My wife doesn’t give me any crap about trolling anymore, either,” he added.
This new form of troll activism, and the eager participation, is heartwarming. While Busta Troll and crew may have far surpassed the $1,000 goal, we would love to see this tradition of goodwill continue. We ask that you consider following in these folks’ footsteps and make a donation to Planned Parenthood.
Under “honorary giving” make your donation in the honor of “right-wing Nutjobs.” If you feel so inclined (so Busta can keep an accurate tally), stop by and let him know what you did–send a screenshot if you want!
