After passing some of the strictest gun laws in the country in the wake of the Sandy Hook massacre, Grandpappy Gun-Nut and enabler of mass-murderers, Wayne LaPierre took to TEApublican propaganda machine, Fox News to criticize Connecticut’s action to prevent mass shootings.
LaPierre regurgitated his usual fallacious arguments about how criminals won’t follow any law, and that gun safety measures just make it harder on “lawful gun owners.” This is, of course, 100% weapons-grade b.s.
LaPierre said, “From the very start, my thought has been about how little this had to do with keeping kids safe and how much it has to do with this decades-long agenda against firearms that some in the political class and the media have had.”
Yeah right, idiot.
Connecticut governor Dan Malloy (D) had some choice words for LaPierre, the NRA and gun-worshiping psychos everywhere after CNN host Candy Crowley played a clip of NRA whackjob LaPierre’s comments on his state’s new gun safety laws.
“Wayne reminds me of the clowns at the circus. They get the most attention and that’s what he’s paid to do. But the reality is, is that the gun that was used to kill 26 people on Dec. 14 was legally purchased in the state of Connecticut, even though we had an assault weapons ban. But there were loopholes in it that you could drive a truck through.”
Governor Malloy went on to say,
“I mean, this guy is so out of whack, it’s unbelievable. Ninety-two percent of the American people want universal background checks. Candy, I don’t want to tell you your business, but bring them back to reality.”
