Oh, boy the Ku Klux Klan is mad about Anonymous’ “demasking” of its members! In fact, they are so furious that they have threatened at least one citizen journalist who reported on it!
Tiffany Willis of Liberal America received a phone call from someone claiming to represent the Ku Klux Klan that can only be interpreted as a threat. “I had a couple of interactions on Twitter and the story did moderately well on the site, but imagine my shock when I left my phone for a few minutes and came back to a voicemail from a blocked caller — a guy claiming to be the KKK,” Willis wrote after she received the call.
“This message is for Tiffany,” the masked, robotic voice said in the voicemail message. “The Klan is watching you, and we don’t like what we’re seeing, OK? You stop this immediately. We’re a nationwide organization with over 350,000 members nationwide. Please stop this.”
Yes, there was no overt threat, but they were sure to remind Willis that they had people in her area.
Willis says she will not let a threat from small-minded racists to dissuade or intimidate her, though. “Here is how this works. I’m not stopping anything that I do, ever. I am going to get up every day for the rest of my life and do what I think is right — just as I have every single day prior to this one,” she wrote. “Threaten me and you’re just going to make me even more determined. Please understand that I’m one of those crazy liberal b*tches who is willing to die for what she believes in. Do you really think an anonymous threat is going to deter me?”
“I and my phone number were easy to find. Why? Because I’m transparent. I have nothing to hide — unlike most members of the Klan. I don’t get their culture at all. A long history of being bullies who use intimidation as tactics, yet always wanting to be anonymous? What is up with that?” Willis asked. “It’s not illegal to be Klan. What is illegal are the intimidation practices that always seem to come with these guys. If you’re doing nothing illegal, why are you hiding? Are you ashamed? Worried about what the neighbors will think?”
“You don’t scare me. You’ve scared my kids. My little boy is with me and my daughter is seven hours away worried about us. So congratulations. You’re always able to scare and intimidate the weak and helpless,” she continued. “We have a word for guys like you in the South, but it would offend my feminist friends if I called you that.”
Tiffany told Liberaland that she is “not nervous but will follow the proper channels and report it to the FBI and police.”
Willis received an additional call from “Chuck,” the Imperial Wizard of the American White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan in an attempt to distance his “nonviolent” and “white Christian” group from those associated with the threats in Ferguson.
Sadly, the Ku Klux Klan chose what they view as an easy target. Unfortunately for them, they chose a strong woman who will not allow their antics to intimidate her.
