Jon Stewart, who excoriates political stupidity and hypocrisy, is not above lambasting the President as well.
Last week, the Daily Show dedicated the first segment of one program to lampoon the difficulties that accompanied the launch of the website for the Affordable Health Care Act.
This Thursday night, Stewart took on the astonishing story of senior White House staffer Jofi Joseph. The nonproliferation expert on the National Security Council was fired for making snarky tweets about Washington insiders including members of the administration.
Joseph tweeted for two years using an alias but was finally unmasked.
Although mean and petty, the tweets never revealed any sensitive information.
Stewart questioned the fact that Joseph could leave his desk as many as 17 times a day to switch to his personal phone and a tweet appeared seconds later — with no one noticing.
As suggested by Stewart, perhaps the President should not fire the apparent only member of the staff who can optimize and understand the Internet.
Here’s an idea: close his twitter account and make Joseph head of healthcare.gov.
Watch the hilarious segment.
