Jon Stewart didn’t mince words while calling John McCain out for his blatant hypocrisy on Wednesday night’s Daily Show. If you’ve been following the Benghazi hearings debacle, you know that McCain has been on display claiming he cares deeply about the four Americans killed in the embassy attack. Here’s what Stewart had to say about that:
No, McCain! You don’t get to pull the four dead Americans s**t. You lost that privilege over a period of, oh, I don’t know, the Iraq War. Which I believe, American casualty-wise, was literally Benghazi times one-thousand!
Stewart continued on his glorious shaming rampage, reminding McCain, whose campaign slogan was, “Country First” when he ran for president in 2008, of just how far he’s strayed from that mantra:
Blocking a secretary of defense nominee who has absolutely nothing to do with the target of your current rediscovered moral outrage at American deaths overseas, whilst also copping to maybe a little personal payback, is the antithesis to your stated campaign slogan. So, pardon me, sir, but perhaps it needs an update…
