This may surprise Hillary Clinton, but she’s running for President. In an interview with The Daily Show’s Jon Stewart, it was announced that Clinton is, indeed, running for President–not by Clinton, of course, but by Stewart.
Clinton stopped by to speak to Stewart about her newest book, Hard Choices, in which she discusses her four years as Secretary of State. “It’s an incredibly complex and well-reasoned, eyewitness view to the history of those four years,” Stewart told Clinton, “and I think I speak for everybody when I say, no one cares. They just want to know if you’re running for president.”
Clinton told Stewart that, traditionally, potential candidates “weigh all their options” and “talk about it with their family” before actually announcing that they will be running, but refused to declare herself as one of America’s better options for POTUS in 2016.
Stewart attempted to “trick” Clinton into declaring her candidacy with an “aptitude test.” When asked if she would prefer a home office, or if she would like to commute to work, Clinton said she would prefer a home office.
Stewart asked what shape she would like her next office to be–if it should have corners, or no corners. Clinton responded, “You know, I think that the world is so complicated, the fewer corners that you can have, the better.”
“It seems to me,” Stewart said, “That you’ve declared for President.”
