John McCain (R-Senile), who the GOP once touted as a war hero, blamed the Tea Party terrorists in the GOP for the government shutdown.
It would be nice if all media outlets did the same. Too much of the onus has been spread between the Republicans and Democrats and the President.
McCain, who might be considering retiring at the end of his Senate term, uses the term “fool’s errand” to describe the fight to defund Obamacare.
He falls short of recognizing how important this legislation is for the millions of citizens needing affordable healthcare. And its legal, legislative and popular standing.
However, currently there aren’t enough GOP Congressional Representatives, who clearly want to return to Washington, to be able to overcome this impasse.
Of course McCain is still a card-carrying member of the Republican Party. Thus, he further stated:
“We fought as hard as we could in a fair and honest manner and we lost,” McCain said. “One of the reasons was because we were in the minority, and in democracies, almost always the majority governs and passes legislation.”
The Republicans did not and are not conducting themselves in a “fair and honest manner,” and the definition of a democracy is a government with majority rule that is working for the common good.
How much did Sarah Palin, McCain’s Presidential running mate, help shape and inspire the current tea party crazies?
