In a desperate bid to increase his flagging ratings, Rush Limbaugh has gone full-on ghoul. Less than 24 hours after Robin Williams’ death was announced, Limbaugh was doing what Limbaugh does best: blaming it on the leftists.
During his broadcast of The Rush Limbaugh Show, host and paragon of human awfulness, Rush Limbaugh, said that Williams’ suicide was the result of a “leftist world view” that was one of “pessimism, and darkness, sadness.”
Limbaugh went on:
“What is the left’s world view in general? If you had to attach, not a philosophy, but an attitude to a leftist world view. It’s one of pessimism, and darkness, sadness. They’re never happy, are they? They’re animated in large part by the false promises of America because the promises of America are not for everyone.”
Limbaugh, using his mind-reading powers, claimed that Williams “felt guilty” because he was still alive while “his three friends had died young.” Limbaugh explained that Williams could “never get over the guilt” and guilt was “a constant measure” used by those of us here on the left in “judging the country:”
“Robin Williams felt guilty that he was still alive while his three friends had died young, and much earlier than he had…He could never get over the guilt that they died and he didn’t…Well, that is a constant measurement that is made by political leftists in judging the country.”
Limbaugh’s not the only right-winger who’s displayed “humanity” by taking aim at Williams. Shepard Smith took a shot at Williams, calling him a “coward,” and FOX couldn’t even be bothered to get the right footage for his movie, Mrs. Doubtfire.
Truly vile, insensitive behavior from truly vile, insensitive people.
