A group calling themselves the “Tea Party Patriots” made a two minute long fable titled “A Movement On Fire.” It features a fictional dystopian scenario – the same one that has played out in every TEApublican’s mind in one version or another since President Obama was first elected – involving a complete government takeover of everything, and the government going after the brave revolutionists who have decided that they must recapture “freedom and liberty.” Every Paranoid Delusion Tea Partiers Fear in One Hilarious Short Video
Instead of featuring the evil liberals of the Democratic party, including their nefarious leader President Obama, who of course represents the Anti-Christ to most TEApublicans, the film calls the obligatory socialist party the “Development Party” and their leader is a run-of-the-mill older white man. Also you will see the symbol of the “Development Party” everywhere, as if to further stroke the fears of a complete government takeover that their target viewers have to face on a daily basis.
The film ends with a bunch of young guys who are tired of being oppressed deciding that they just aren’t going to take it any more, and they have some kind of revolution that manifests itself not through a blaze of gunfire and violence, but when when they bravely take down a “Development Party” sign and replace it with their own torch logo.
We’re not sure if there is a Razzie award made for this sort of thing, but we’re pretty sure this would be a strong contender.
Han Chimpson spends a lot of time monkeying around at the Ayn Rand Collected Social Security page, and thinks you are cool enough to do the same.
