Say hello to Fox News’ latest “political analyst,” former Republican Minnesota representative, Michele Bachmann. Well, she hasn’t explicitly said so, but one thing is for certain: she’s set a date for leaving Congress, and gave her farewell speech yesterday.
In May of last year, Bachmann announced she would be heading off to greener pastures, and not seeking reelection in 2014. The reason:
“The law limits anyone from serving for president of the United States for more than eight years. And in my opinion, eight years is also long enough for an individual to serve as a representative for a specific congressional district.”
Michele didn’t give any major hints about what she’d be doing after leaving office on January 1st, but she did say in an interview with the Associated Press that she wouldn’t be leaving politics.
“I occupy a very unique space. I am the only woman who has been in a presidential debate on the Republican ticket.”
It’s true…though it must also be said, Charlie Crist’s fan also occupies a unique space in the history of debate. That doesn’t mean it hasn’t made a career of blowing hot air up peoples’ asses.
And with that…welcome Fox News’ newest cast member!
