Michele Bachmann has apparently outsmarted us, folks. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about that.
Bachmann made the claim while reflecting back on her relationship with liberals, explaining to WhirledNutDaily that “the truth bothers them” and that she basically outwitted us.
That’s right. Bachmann, who would have problems out-thinking calculator, claims to have outsmarted the left. What’s more, WhirledNutDaily billed her as a “GOP legend,” which tells me that they really lowered the bar for that entrance exam.
And just how did Bachmann outsmart us? Well, apparently by living in a delusional world where she’s always right. Because seriously, did you expect anything different?
Well, telling the truth bothers them. They don’t like to have the truth told about them, and that’s really what it is. I didn’t fear the left. I decided to take them on in the arena of ideas by attacking their false premises and their false narratives.
That’s the best way to defeat them, by the way — defeat them with evidence and defeat them with their false premises, and I did that.
Yes, this is the same Bachmann for whom the chief fact checker for the AP had to establish a “self-imposed Michele Bachmann quota,” and who Politifact found had the worst record for accuracy by far out of any presidential candidate in 2012.
But no, don’t let that deceive you. She totally bashed those imaginary liberals, attacking them with her version of the “Truth™.”
I took them on, and their agenda, and I went to the heart of whatever it was they wanted to advance, and tried to take it apart through evidence-based arguments, and they don’t like that. When the left argues, they argue from emotionalism.
You didn’t need the irony meter, did you?
She went on to blame liberals for driving Republican women away from seeking political office.
The Republican Party always gets a bad rap because there are not as many women that are in elective office, but it’s a tough business. It is public humiliation, public ridicule, constant criticism when you’re in public office – if you take on the left.
Michele, if it’s not to late to offer you some tips; when you’re self-crucifying, the names are supposed to go through the wrist, not the palms. Just thought you’d like to know that.
