You remember GOP Representative Steven King, right? The guy who hosted an anti-immigration rally that nobody showed up for. He’s back in the news again, and this time, he’s accusing President Obama of importing “undocumented Democrats” and buying votes.
King made the remarks during a radio interview Thursday, sitting in on “The John Fredericks Show.”
“To put it simply,” King began, “The President is importing millions of illegal aliens, who, when they arrive here, he thinks, and he’s right, they are undocumented Democrats. The next phase of this is to document these Democrats so they can vote. This is a raw political power move.”
King slammed Obama’s “lawlessness,” and said that the president was bringing in people who would “erode the politics of the country” and don’t have “respect for the rule of law.”
“They don’t understand the law,” King said. “They come from lawless countries so they’re not at all likely to defend our constitution or the rule of law.”
This is comedy coming from a man whose party, at least in spirit, panders to Sovereign Citizens and right-wing terrorists who bomb abortion clinics.
King also compared the “loyalty” undocumented immigrants would have for Obama and the Democratic Party to the loyalty African-Americans had for the Democrats after LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act — because in King’s world, you’re supposed to tolerate racist abuse and shut up about it.
King’s comparison tells you everything you need to know about how he views African-Americans and undocumented immigrants.
