The Tea Party is apparently less than happy about the recent budget deal struck between Representatives Paul Ryan and Patty Murray, but before you go praising them for a moment of clarity, it should be pointed out that it seems to be the very existence of a deal which has their kettle whistling.
In yet another republication of the right wing’s newest apparent go-to news source Infowars, Teaparty.org takes part in lambasting both Speaker John Boehner as well as House Budget Committee Chair and consummate ladies man Paul Ryan, for refusing to hold out on what we can only assume is a complete elimination of government and American society as we know it.
Angered by the striking of a deal with House Democrats on a budget that actually agrees to spend money, The Tea Party lashed out at Ryan before the details of the budget were even announced. Alongside them, political astro-turf heavy weights Freedomworks also expressed fury at the suggestion of a budget deal (also, before such was even announced.)
Complete with strings of seemingly arbitrary numbers meant to signify the total national debt, the Tea Party, Infowars and Fox News have projected the debt total to range anywhere between 17 and 70 trillion dollars, proving once and for all that math and numbers are relative and meaningless in the midst of a contrived debt and deficit hysteria.
