Reliable Sources has released a clip of this morning’s Glenn Beck interview on CNN. Brian Stelter, sitting across from the infamous (and likely bipolar) radio show host, CEO of Mercury Radio Arts, and former Fox News Host, asked Beck a question about the polarization of the country.
Beck told Stelter a story about his experience in New York, and made a plea that we recognize one another as people, and not “cartoon characters.” He then added:
“I believe that we are in — I think we’re a country in civil war. I just think we’re in a cold civil war. Shooting hasn’t started, but somebody stupid is going to do something stupid and it will escalate unless we talk to each other.”
You read the comments, you read them on the Huffington Post or you read them on TheBlaze or CNN or Fox News, it doesn’t matter. They’re all the same, left and right. We’re calling each other horrible things.
When asked about the insular community that places like The Blaze create, and if they contribute, Beck merely responded by saying, “I hope not.”
