A Ringgold Georgia man called Daryl Banther is threatening to sue the city, claiming his “constitutional rights” were violated by police who told him to stop bothering people’s children about his belief in Jesus Christ.
Banther recruited his poor 8-year-old son to hand out religious propaganda an annual event in Ringgold when he was confronted by the city manager and chief of police, who halted his evangelizing because a parent filed a police report about a strange man approaching children in the parking lot!
Banther left but threatened to return the next day, which he did. Interviewed on camera by a reporter for WTVC-TV he claimed that Christians no longer have any rights in America.
“They were all harassing me because I have a constitutional right to do what I was doing,” Banther angrily stated. “If I’m anything else, I have rights,” he said, implying that Christians don’t have rights like other religions or non-religious people. Banther continued, “…But as a Christian, we have rights no more. They’re taking all the Christian rights away and I’m going to stand for what’s right this time.”
Representatives of the city of Ringgold told WTVC-TV that there were “established procedures” for participation, including permits, and despite Banther’s idiotic assertion that Christians had “no more rights” the event at which Banther was accosting children was a Gospel Music Festival!
Watch this deranged lunatic on video here, and hide your children from this creep if you’re ever in Ringgold Georgia!
