Do not adjust your sets; this is not a repeat of the last two years.
The AP released a story today announcing that Floridian murder, George Zimmerman, has been accused of getting into a road-rage confrontation with a driver — and threatening to kill that driver.
This is the same guy that murdered Trayvon Martin and menaced his girlfriend. Something tells me that he doesn’t need more Second Amendment excuses.
According to police, the event transpired on Tuesday, when a man filed a report after a truck pulled up next to him and the driver yelled “why are you pointing a finger at me?” The spokeswoman for the police, Bianca Gillett, said that the man recognized the driver of the truck as George Zimmerman; Zimmerman reportedly asked the man “Do you know who I am?” and then Zimmerman threatened to kill him.
The name of the man hasn’t been released, but the man said that he saw Zimmerman again two days later, outside his place of work. The AP says that he called the police but declined to press charges.
Gillett said that the man was “in fear of having encountered the vehicle a second time.”
Zimmerman’s divorce attorney, Howard Iken, didn’t return the calls from the AP on Friday.
As noted in before, this isn’t his first brush with the law since his acquittal for killing Martin. Since then, he’s been arrested on charges of aggravated assault, battery, and criminal mischief after his then-girlfriend accused him of pointing a gun at her during an argument, smashing her coffee table, and pushing her out of the house they shared. His ex-wife has accused him of smashing an iPad during an argument in a home they shared, and he’s also been pulled over three times for traffic violations.
The last public sighting of Zimmerman was hanging out in the parking lot of a motorcycle-and-gun shop, claiming to be a security guard for the store. The shop owner, Zimmerman’s friend, came forward and said that Zimmerman wasn’t paid to sit there; he just liked to be there.
