Old Ann Coulter, meet New Ann Coulter. She’s younger, better looking, and she even has better hair. Admittedly, Old Ann, you’ve got some brains on New Ann…but that’s not really a factor in the Rupert Murdoch School of Trading Up. Besides, brunettes are tracking higher than blondes these days. So, Old Ann, meet your replacement: New Ann…Andrea Tantaros that is.
You might remember New Ann’s last little soundbite from a couple days ago, when she gave the grateful viewership of FOX’s inoffensive gab-fest Outnumbered her opinion on “how to deal with Muslims.”
“This isn’t a surprise. You can’t solve it with a dialogue. You can’t solve it with a summit. You solve it with a bullet to the head. It’s the only thing these people understand. And all we’ve heard from this president is a case to heap praise on this religion, as if to appease them.”
Now, bearing that in mind, here’s a short exchange between New Ann and Greg Gutfield on the Fox show The Five. They were discussing the images Time had used for its cover, and Greg responded to Time’s depictions of crisis in Ferguson, and why used the cover pictures they did:
“You win Pulitzers with pictures like that. You don’t win Pulitzers in times of calm. You saw the media before. There were reporting on ‘fear of unrest.’ Now it’s ‘how long will the calm last.”
Well, not that FOX would know anything about exploiting conflict, fear and death for ratings. BENGHAAAZZZZIIIIII!!!!!
(Quick aside: Since 2010 alone, The New York Times has won Pulitzers on articles about the abuse of power in Russia, an investigation on food safety, an investigation on the dangers of distracted driving, corporate tax avoidance, corruption in the Chinese government, the global business practices of Apple, bribery by Walmart, and America’s economic recovery. None of which relied on exploiting death, conflict and racial divide…FOX.)
Eric Bolling then decided to tap (ahem) New Ann Coulter for her her take on Time’s cover, asking “Is it dangerous to be putting those on the cover?” Well, obviously, Old Ann Coulter would have replied. Everything liberals do is dangerous, and everyone who isn’t us is a stupid liberal!
New Ann Coulter put it a bit differently.
“You sell magazines with racial divide. You sell magazines by blowing up, what in their minds, is a white-on-black incident.”
New Ann continued with the standard Coulter talking point about the preponderance of black-on-black crime, likely referencing the fact that 91 percent of blacks are killed by other blacks.
“Where you really could do good journalism is going to the streets of Chicago and following the black-on-black crime. If I were African-American, I would be outraged that more journalists aren’t covering what’s happening in Chicago and more outraged that people like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson don’t head to those areas.”
Excellent — though even Old Ann missed the fact that 86 percent of whites are killed by other whites. Because desegregation totally worked. But we agree — we’re equally outraged that Greg Gutman’s never gone to the streets of Alabama to report on white-on-white crime. Fair and balanced.
But let’s wrap this up, New Ann. We’re all waiting on that famous Coulter money shot: false equivalence and hyperbole leading to implication of liberal militancy in the Obama administration. GO!
“The DOJ is pushing this entire thing. Eric Holder is one of the biggest race-baiters in this entire country. He [Holder] runs that DOJ like the Black Panthers would. Allowing them to be outside that polling place was absolutely abominable.”
Nailed it! Rupert must be proud of this trade-up.
Big Hat Tip to the Tea Party News Network…thanks for another great story!
