FOX correspondent Steve Harrigan was shocked–SHOCKED–that a protester had an issue with his characterization of Monday’s protests, which culminated in the forcible removal of all media and even Amnesty International observers, as well as locked-and-loaded approaches on the crowd, as “child’s play.”
“This is right now a media event, pure and simple. This is people running towards tear gas, running away from it. The dignified protesters went home at dusk. This is just child’s play right now,” Harrigan told Shepard Smith.
A nearby protester overheard Harrigan’s ignorant remarks and offered a very colorful response:
“Say that s**t. Say that s**t. I don’t give a damn you’re on TV, I don’t care about that s**t,” the man yelled. “We go through this s**t every day. You tell them this is just child’s play? Who is the child playing with toys? That’s them.”
FOX News cut the sound for the majority of the protester’s emphatic statement.
Harrigan was unversed in how to react, exactly, when confronted by an African-American he had just disparaged, so he tossed it back to Shep Smith who killed time as the stupid cracker retreated. “I don’t want to argue with you,” he told the protester.
Harrigan later reconnected to the man, who explained his reason for being out there–and it didn’t involve three rings.
