Just after Obama finished his remarks, Starnes posted on his Facebook page that Obama was the “Race-Baiter in Chief” and that the President’s statements were “reprehensible,” writing:
President Obama is now our Race-Baiter in Chief. His remarks today on the Trayvon Martin tragedy are beyond reprehensible.
‘Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago,’ he said. He actually said the outcome might have been different if Trayvon had been white.

Starnes has a long history of racially inflammatory rhetoric. Last month he came out in defense of cooking show host Paula Deen after she was fired from her network for racist remarks. Starnes also is a huge megaphone for anti-gay rhetoric on his Fox News radio show.
