Rich Lowry, a FOX News contributor and editor of the National Review, a conservative propaganda rag, spoke at an August 21 Heritage Foundation “Border Crisis and the New Politics of Immigration” event — and he had a suggestion regarding how to deal with Republicans who say that “there are jobs that Americans won’t do.”
Kill them. Kill them all.
“The next time I hear a Republican strategist or Republican politician say that there are jobs that Americans won’t do, that person should be shot, he should be hanged, he should be wrapped in a carpet and thrown in the Potomac River. That’s what they did to Rasputin, I think it was a different river.
But let me tell you, it worked.”
While the idea that there is certain work Americans consider beneath them is laughable, that’s often the closest a Republican will come to truly supporting immigration–and the only excuse they will accept for allowing people to come to America from other countries.
Lowry must have been channeling Ann Coulter in his hate-filled speech. In 2011, Coulter called for “death squads” for Republicans who support amnesty. “Amnesty is forever and you got to vote for the Republicans one more time and just make it clear; but if you pass amnesty, that’s it, it’s over and then we organize the death squads for the people who wrecked America,” Coulter said at CPAC that year.
Here’s a clue: no one deserves to die or face threats for their political beliefs. Period.
