The infection machine at Faux News has been caught again, this time with their hands in the hypocrisy jar. As we all know, and continue to hear time and time again, it’s the right-elite’s opinion that any sort of regulation on currently available firearms is not only unconstitutional, but also tyrannical, fascist, and an all-out assault on individual rights. A couple of the latest buzzwords to come from the “fairly out-of-balance” sect are “Hitler” and “Nazi”, with the TEApublicans saying that firearm control and regulation is nothing more than what fascist Germany did preceding the rise of the Third Reich.
But now, after a January 16th comment on CBS News by Bob Schieffer, wherein he loosely mentioned the NRA and Nazis in the same block, The conservatives have lost it. In response to Schieffer, who said “Surely passing civil rights legislation as Lyndon Johnson was able to do, and before that, surely defeating the Nazis was a much more formidable task than taking on the gun lobby”, Fox News is now outraged… outraged, I tell you! that They have said that comparing the NRA to the Nazis and Hitler, like fellow journalist Martin Bashir also did at MSNBC, is “just over-the-top defamation” and “too opinionated”. Never mind the fact that Bashir was simply responding to the right-extremist speak that those that are in favor of gun control are like Nazis, because that’s somehow… unimportant, I suppose? They’ve become so offended that they’ve suggested that if we want to have dialogue at all concerning gun rights, we should “take Hitler and Nazis off the table” in the discussion.
You heard it right, folks. When you’re done pounding your head against the desk from the outright stupidity, be sure to check out the video below, which spends the first half outlining Fox News’ Nazi and Hitler comparison propaganda, and then the second half showing Fox’s “disgust” when the same rhetoric is turned back on them.
