Susan Patton who garnered a lot of attention last year after the campus paper of her alma mater, Princeton published a letter she wrote admonishing all of the coeds on campus to stop worrying about their academic achievements and focus on finding a husband. The “Princeton Mom” was a guest on Fox News’ Fox and Friends on Monday to promote her new book, “Marry Smart” which is basically an expansion of that letter.
Host Steve Doocey opened the segment by asking Patton, “when did it happen when men and husbands became doormats?”
Of course Patton has the answer; it was feminism that caused this catastrophe, she said that when feminism came along men “became unimportant” and “unnecessary” and everything became “only about the women.” She asserted that feminists disrespect their husbands and that this is not only not good for men, it is not good for women.
“I’m telling young women, or married women of any age actually,” she said, “first thing, be nice, stop acting like such an entitled princess.”
Patton says that many women miss the opportunity to marry and have children entirely because they don’t know how to be nice.
She asked women to think about “how difficult it would be to replace this man,” saying that a woman in her thirties has very little chance of ever finding another man who will have her.
“If you don’t believe me, ask your maiden aunt. She can tell you when she’s done feeding the cats,” she added.
