Carl Hart, Ph., D., Associate Professor at Columbia University takes Bill bellicose, blathering, bloviating, blowhard O’Reilly to task for misquoting a statistic. When O’Reilly tells Hart his statistics are right, saying, “Take it up with the National Institutes of Health,” Hart finishes O’Reilly off, saying, “I am a council member on the National Institute of Health. Your number is wrong.” We love you, Professor Hart.
When questioned by a Fox reporter as to why he, a Muslim, would be qualified to write a book about the life of Jesus, Reza Aslan, an academic with four university degrees, one specifically in the new testament, fluent in Biblical Greek, who has been studying the origins of Christianity for 20 years, responded with “I am an expert with a Ph., D. in the history of religions” and the smack-down got even worse when the reporter asked the same stupid question a second time. “It’s what I do for a living,” he enunciated slowly for the idiotic reporter. Love it.
Gen. Colin Powell, Former Secretary of State, slaps O’Reilly around a bit over making it harder for people to vote by showing ID since they already have to show ID when they register. O’Reilly condescendingly says to the General, “Surely you know how fraud is committed. Powell says, “I have not seen any study that says fraud is a problem of such significance that these kinds of procedures were in place.” In other words, Bill, you’re a paranoid mouth-breather, kindly go back to your seat on the short bus, thanks
Bill Nye takes a Fox reporter to task after a string of stupid statements from him. Nye looks a little stunned by the stupidity of what the reporter just said and responds, “No, volcanoes are not connected to the burning of fossil fuel.” And then Nye proceeds to clean the floor with what’s left of the reporter’s shreds of intellectual dignity.
Tom Ricks, Pulitzer Prize winning journalist previously employed by the Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal, calls the Fox coverage of Benghazi “has been extremely political, partly because Fox was operating as a wing of the Republican Party.”
One of the most awesome smack-down compilations of all-time. Enjoy!
