A Reddit user caught video of a woman being arrested on plane. The woman, clearly drunk and irrational, was reportedly being loud and obnoxious, according to the Redditor who uploaded the video. Because of her outbursts, she was asked to leave the plane.
Unfortunately, flight attendants were forced to call the police to deal with the screaming woman. As she was being handcuffed, the (white) woman incoherently shrieked, “You’re f*cking harassing me! You’re a f*cking bigot! You’re a f*cking racist f*cking bigot! All of you, racist motherf*ckers!”
“For a little more context (people on YouTube are asking for more info about it especially, though I can’t comment because of shitty cell service), she came on the plane yelling and swearing about how we are going to Portugal and not Brazil. She continued being loud and obnoxious and I’m assuming that some of the families with younger children told the flight attendants, who then called the police. When the police came, she refused to move, started screaming at them and telling them she would sue, and when they told her she would be arrested if she didn’t cooperate that just edged her on more. Eventually that man (not sure if he was a cop or not) basically said f*ck it you’re being carried off this plane. If someone could post this on YouTube since my crappy cell won’t work that’d help, and FYI, it’s unlisted because that’s my upload settings, and I can’t do anything on YouTube right now for some reason, just won’t load. Also wasn’t expecting really anyone to see this and I posted it as I was taking off so yeah, sorry for the little amount of info provided,” said mikeirvingmedia, the Redditor who uploaded the video.
As she was leaving, she turned to the darkest-skinned person escorting her out and pleaded, “They’re racists.” It sounded so sincere.
FAA regulations state:
14 CFR §121.575 – Alcoholic Beverages
(a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage to him.
(b) No certificate holder may serve any alcoholic beverage to any person aboard any of its aircraft who—
(1) Appears to be intoxicated;
(2) Is escorting a person or being escorted in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.221; or
(3) Has a deadly or dangerous weapon accessible to him while aboard the aircraft in accordance with 49 CFR 1544.219, 1544.221, or 1544.223.
(c) No certificate holder may allow any person to board any of its aircraft if that person appears to be intoxicated.
(d) Each certificate holder shall, within five days after the incident, report to the Administrator the refusal of any person to comply with paragraph (a) of this section, or of any disturbance caused by a person who appears to be intoxicated aboard any of its aircraft.
Since the woman was visibly intoxicated, she was removed from the plane. It’s that simple (as if it was not already obvious).
