Actually, every man should see this too…and maybe even some women. This video is a short and simple message, which the description says is directed at “the Steubenville rapists…or any rapists out there.”
For those not familiar with the Steubenville rape case, it occurred in Steubenville, Ohio on the night of August 11, 2012 when an intoxicated and possibly drugged without her knowledge high school girl was repeatedly sexually violated by two 16-year-old boys and others at parties over the course of several hours. She was moved from place to place with no intervention by the many people who witnessed the incident. The only way anyone found out about the crimes, including the victim, was because of photographs posted to popular social media sites.
The hacker group Anonymous found out about it and, believing that Steubenville was trying to marginalize and cover up the incident, brought it widespread national media attention.
The horrible case helped start a national conversation about rape and rape culture. Two students and star high school football players, Ma’lik Richmond and Trent Mays, were convicted in juvenile court for the rape last week.
