News Corpse has uncovered some interesting information about the discredited “60 Minutes” Benghazi report with lying liar Dylan Davies. CBS has now offered an apology for the debacle, if one can rightfully call it that. At the end of “60 Minutes,” Lara Logan glanced over details that were incorrect and offered a perfunctory apology. The report was touted to be a year in the making, but the apology lasted less than two minutes.
That CBS has not provided any information on how it was allowed to happen, and has not offered any sort of assurance that there will not be a repeat of what has been regarded as a massive failure in the journalistic process, has led to quite a lot of negative feedback directed at the discredited news organization. Many are asking how this sort of thing could have possibly been allowed to happen.
Newscorpse may have an answer! As they have unveiled, the story may have been nothing short of a blatant fraud. David Rhodes has been President of CBS News since 2011. His Résumé, however, is where the story becomes interesting.
Rhodes’ profile on CBSNews.com contains some very telling information about his past:
That’s right, folks! The man who was behind the gross misreporting on Benghazi, which led to a right wing RAGEgasm, was the same man who was responsible when FOX misreported Florida as a win (and the 2000 Presidential election) for Bush. He was behind the misinformation campaign that steered American support for the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. He was there for the disaster that was FOX’s continually progressive slide into its now firmly-cemented position as a right wing lie factory. Under his supervision, FOX propagated the lie that is birtherism, and many other fake scandals.
How could CBS allow itself to be fooled by a story that unraveled with little effort on the part of real reporters? Given the new perspective with which we have been provided, how could CBS resist taking Dylan Davies’ story at face value?
