When Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar entered our lives as a newbie reality TV show in 2008, they only had 17 children.
TLC thought we would be interested in this super-sized family, and were we ever!
Then there were 18 kids, and then 19.
The beloved network show “19 Kids and Counting” was cancelled after the eldest Duggar son dragged his entire family into a sexual abuse quagmire.
However, it seemed that the show’s name was a predictor of at least one more child to come.
Michelle and Jim Bob have decided to adopt one more child sometime in the new year, according to an anonymous source close to the Duggars:
“They’ve been mulling it over for a long time, and they feel the time is right to get legal advice and get the process underway. They’re looking to adopt a child in the New Year.”
It is hard to tell whether or not kid number 20 will get the family a reality show gig again.
Negative publicity forced the “19 Kids And Counting” show to cancel when information was released regarding their eldest son Josh molesting five minor girls when he was a teenager.
Four of his victims were his sisters, two of which star in their own three-part reality show early this month.
Josh, married with children of his own, had more to hide than molestation.
It turns out that he had a profile and account with Ashley Madison, the place to go when searching for some discreet adultery.
Being part of a very popular reality show would seem to automatically cancel the opportunity to do anything discreet, but he thought it was worth a try.
Josh said he was sorry and went into rehab for people with similar problems.
That means some of the family has forgiven, if not forgotten.
