While protesting the busing of immigrant children to a local shelter, Arizona Republican Adam Kwasman was quick to announce the terror he saw on the faces of the passing children. Unfortunately Kwasman seemed more concerned with scoring political points than the distraught children, as the bus he saw was actually full of local school children on their way to camp.
He then claimed to have seen the fearful faces of the migrant children on the passing bus, but it seems Kwasman was actually more interesting in using the event for political airtime. If he’d actually been paying attention he’d have noticed the bus was actually from the Marana School District and headed for the YMCA’s Triangle Y Camp.
As for the sad faces of the children, reporters on the scene say they actually”saw the children laughing and taking pictures of the media”. When confronted with his mistake, Kwasman quickly tries to justify his comments before backpedaling and finally admitting he was wrong. However he does not manage to apologize for attending a protest rally that seems to be against helping children displaced by violence in their home countries.
