An Ohio man, who justifies abusing his pet dog by saying, “the dog is not human” was found guilty of animal abuse after Joseph, his German Shepherd, was found improperly chained to a tree with no means of survival. Sickeningly, the abuser was only fined $25.00.
The police received a call tipping them off that the abuser, Jeremy Temple, had been mistreating his two dogs, a Pomeranian and German Shepherd. When the police arrived, they found that the German Shepherd was grotesquely emaciated. Fortunately, however, the Pomeranian was found with food and water.
Temple was transported to Middletown City Jail and charged with cruelty to a companion animal, not have a license for his dog and improper chaining or tethering.
The German Shepherd was taken to PAWS, a place where animals are fostered then adopted.
