What happens when anti-abortionists whip their following into a frenzy, especially those who stand to profit by their outrage? Domestic terrorist, Robert L. Dear, carries out his Black Friday Planned Parenthood Massacre. Upon his arrest, Dear mumbled, “no more baby parts,” indicating the gunman was motivated by “an anti-abortion agenda,” according to Reuters.
Attorney General Loretta Lynch described the attack, which killed one policeman and two civilians and wounded nine others, a “crime against women.” Take a “reclusive, glaringly eccentric and anti-social man,” as reported by NBCnews.com, add free access to guns, and stir him up with wildly inflammatory rhetoric. The result is deadly.
Fraudulent, Inflammatory Video
Anti-abortionist David Daleiden, founder of The Center For Medical Progress, bends his videos into fraudulent pretzels to accomplish his goals. In his latest so-called “documentary,” he tries to make the case for Planned Parenthood selling baby parts. Never mind that Planned Parenthood does not and has never done such thing.
Since Daleiden didn’t have a visual of a 19-week-old aborted fetus being held in the hands of a medical technician, he lifted one off of the Internet. The trouble is that image is of a stillborn child with no relationship to Planned Parenthood whatsoever.

Conservative politicians have been trying to defund Planned Parenthood for years. Carly Fiorina is one of the best examples of milking the right-wing propaganda for political gain. She played upon conservative outrage using Daleiden’s video, even though it had been discredited.
During the second GOP debate, she claimed the women’s health organization “sells baby parts.” Then she falsely described Daleiden’s video in excruciating detail:
“I dare Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama to watch these tapes. Watch a fully formed fetus on the table, its heart beating, its legs kicking while someone says we have to keep it alive to harvest its brain.”
Ted Cruz also spoke about Planned Parenthood during the second GOP debate:
“I would encourage every American to watch the videos. See — seeing your Planned Parenthood officials callously, heartlessly bartering and selling the body parts of human beings, and then ask yourself, ‘are these my values?’
“…I will veto any budget that doesn’t fund Planned Parenthood, and Republicans surrender. We need to stop surrendering and start standing.”
Marco Rubio also supported the undercover Daleiden video during an interview with Iowa television station KKCI:
“I just think you’ve created an industry now – a situation where very much, you’ve created an incentive for people not to just look forward to having more abortions, but being able to sell that fetal tissue – these centers – for purposes of making a profit off it, as you’ve seen in some of these Planned Parenthood affiliates.”
Donald Trump talked to Chris Wallace at Fox News about Planned Parenthood:
“Planned Parenthood should absolutely be defunded. I mean if you look at what’s going on with that, it’s terrible. And many of the things should be defunded and many things should be cut.”
Dr. Ben Carson, with his medical experience, should know better, but he heads up the fraudulent Republican line. He website reads:
“Congress must act NOW! Please sign my petition to Congress demanding that they stop all public funds to Planned Parenthood…What I see in this video is barbaric. Congress must ACT! We…insist that our tax dollars not be used in any way with Planned Parenthood in light of their Baby Organ Harvesting Programs.”
Words have consequences, people die.
