David Gregory, member of the established media elite, is fretting that the government shutdown and the looming insanity claiming that raising the debt ceiling will prevent the Congress from doing its real work: slashing entitlements.
When the host of a network news show voices his belief that “entitlements are cannibalizing the government,” that is beyond reprehensible.
Doesn’t Gregory make enough money at his day job? Has he become a spokesperson for the Tea Party as well?
Just like crazy politicians cannot shut down government and then pick and choose what services they want, the budget must be reviewed in its entirety — not just in regards what social programs should be cut.
President Obama has already slashed the budget lower than folks like Paul Ryan ever demanded and that information is not being reported widely enough in the media.
The sad truth is that most of the people front and center of the Tea Party need an assortment of government services.
Folks like David Gregory may not, unless the wealthy are looking for a bailout or more tax beaks.
Dear David Gregory: report the news- don’t become the story.
