A Georgia couple who decided to take Bible beating to a whole new level this weekend ended up preaching from behind the bars from a jail cell.
Carolyn Unfricht and Daniel Camarda of Cartersville are now facing battery charges after a heated theological debate over the Bible and the Ten Commandments turned violent when Unfricht hit Camarda in the face with her Bible. The ‘thump’ left a mark on Camarda’s face and broke his glasses. Camarda retaliated by throwing Unfricht across the room, causing her to injure her foot upon landing, as well as a cut to her face.
The call went out about 1 AM from the Crown Inn this past Saturday morning. When police entered the hotel roo, they discovered blood on the carpet and a blood spattered towel in the sink of the hotel room bathroom.
Both Unfricht and Camarda were “highly intoxicated with slurred speech and having some difficulty walking,” according to the police report.
Police arrested the couple and took them to be booked into the Bartow County Jail. Unfricht is also facing trespassing charges.
