This video might piss a few Floridians off, but it’s doubtful many would be surprised. Especially any with any experience with law enforcement. Skip ahead to about 8:40, but be forewarned — this is extremely graphic, her screams are loud, and probably not safe for work:
As she drunkenly and feebly pushes against one of the 250-pound officer’s shoulders, he shouts “Don’t f*cking TOUCH me!“and slams her head down into the cruiser’s trunk lid right before pressing down into her head, putting a good deal of his weight on the forearm wedged into her skull.
She appears to have struggled a bit more, as most mammals would when 100 pounds is pressing their skull into a stationary object. The officer then yanks her backward, and slams her face-first down into the pavement, shattering her cheekbone.
For minutes, the woman screams in agony as the police pull her arms upward as far as they will go in the cruelest manner possible, while “Examining” her cuffs. While administering a maneuver generally used to dislocate shoulders, the officer bears down with the entirety of his weight on the knee placed on the side of her face, grinding the broken bones into the road.
As the woman screams in pain, the police calmly talk about her handcuffs; for minutes, they’re swimming in her abject misery like ducks in water, ignoring her pleas for help and mercy while they jokingly tell her how many felonies she now has. She tells them that they broke her cheekbone, and these qualified medical professionals tell her it isn’t. As she curses out them, and fights for her life to escape further injury, the “police” inform her that cursing at an officer is battery, and another charge.
Speaking as a Floridian who has a bit of experience with law enforcement, I can tell you that this kind of thing isn’t uncommon. The only thing remotely uncommon about this instance is that they didn’t move her off camera first; on any other occasion, she’d have “fallen while resisting arrest.” She’d have gone to jail awaiting medical care, listening to the bones grind in her face while she lay on a cold, metal bench for 24 hours prior to leaving booking. It would have been days before the infirmary saw her for the injury she rightly incurred, and she’d have been fortunate to get so much as a Tylenol. And they’d have charged her $5 a piece for them, payable by court order once she was released.
What’s most sickening about this video isn’t that her bones were broken, which was bad enough. But you could make a case for it…accidents happen, people overreact. What isn’t excusable is the way they seem absolutely unaffected by her screams of pain, her pleas for help and mercy. Because that’s how they train pigs like this here…to feel nothing. To feel no empathy. No sympathy. No mercy. They train them to be concerned first and foremost with hauling in the catch and not getting the department sued in the process. That’s it. They hear no cries for help, and screams of pain mean no more to them than the sound of the wind. They just. Don’t. Hear It.
This is the inhuman dispassion that we Floridians have come to expect from PIGS like this. These are our “protectors.” These are the people we call when we need help. These corporate drones, who wouldn’t know human misery if it were screaming in their ears.
Great job, Corrections Corporation of America. You’ve created a perfect army of corporate drones. Smile on, CEO. Take a look at the woman above, because you’re doing f*cking GREAT.
Great thanks to the EverlastingGOPstoppers for bringing this story out into the open.
