Chick-Fil-A has been garnering a lot of ill will lately, with its disgusting stance on human equality and the recent decision by a franchise owner to demote a woman upon her return from medical leave following a double mastectomy. In an effort to offset that, the “Christian” hate group masquerading as a second-rate chicken restaurant chain donated 200 meals to the football booster club in Ventura County, California.
The sandwich chain intended for the hatewiches to be sold at back-to-school night at Ventura High School. However, the principal refused to accept Chick-Fil-A’s attempt at cheap advertising because not everyone agrees with the company’s outspoken philosophy that LGBT individuals do not deserve equal rights or protection under the law.
“With their political stance on gay rights and because the students of Ventura High School and their parents would be at the event, I didn’t want them on campus,” Wyatt told the Ventura County Star.
Free chickenburgers are not enough to act as a deterrence from a mission of inclusiveness:
“We value inclusivity and diversity on our campus and all of our events and activities are going to adhere to our mission,” Ventura Unified School District Superintendent Trudy Tuttle Arriaga said.
Chick-Fil-A’s now-deceased owner originally garnered strong support from bigots, and opposition from everyone else, for his outspoken anti-gay stance. His son Dan Cathy, the current president of the company, has also expressed open hatred for LGBT individuals.
When asked if Cathy opposed marriage equality, he responded, “Well, guilty as charged.” He added, “We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit. We are a family-owned business, a family-led business, and we are married to our first wives. We give God thanks for that.”
Conservatives, of course, are outraged…and, apparently, unable to spell “principal” among other simple words.
