A stunning report from Talking Points Memo revealed that one of the contributors to the National Review demanded that all women who get abortions be put to death. While the idiotic tirade this man went on did not specifically state that the implications of the statement he made did not hide his feelings nor his intent towards women who do choose to go through with an abortion, even in the case of life-threatening medical conditions.
A man, Charles Johnson, on twitter found the disgusting and remarkable comments by Kevin Williamson and questioned him. Once it was made clear that Williamson indeed did not respect women the twitter-sphere went ablaze.
The twitter rant started simply enough…
Williamson clearly has no respect for women and wants “the law” to come after them for any abortion, even a life-saving one. I suppose the young 9 year old girl in Brazil who was raped and impregnated by her stepfather, and whose child was aborted by a doctor in order to save her life since her body could not handle going throu9 year old girl in Brazilgh a pregnancy without killing her, would have been hung by a noose if we lived in the theocratic fantasy-land that Williamson spends his daydreams in….
Oh and for those wondering the 9 year old girl and her doctor were excommunicated by the Catholic church. The step-father rapist? Oh that poor victimized soul! He’s still a good upstanding member of the Catholic church. Fantasy-land….
But wait Williamson went on!
“Oh! I don’t want to kill them, but I guess I’ll look for any justification that makes it okay….”
And there’s more…..
Well, at least this Teavangelical murderous hypocrite is being honest. The more of these people that come out the better. Then we can expose them for the theocratic charlatans they are!
The final icing on the cake…Remember when I spoke about him wanted them to hang? I wasn’t just being exaggerative or hyperbolic – he really said that.
I wonder how the National Review feels about their writers calling for rape victims to be hung by a noose. Not that it will do any good, as the National Review is merely another fine mess of shitty GOP talking point warriors, but I’d love to see thousands of people send them messages of good old liberal outrage at the thought of murdering women en masse. Who knows, maybe if they get signed up for newsletters from Planned Parenthood and other medical organizations they’ll figure it out…
