Cliven Bundy is taking his message of violent revolution to the campaign trail. At a campaign stop on Tuesday for Tea Party candidate Russell Best, Bundy announced his intention to “promote some good candidates for reelection this next couple of months.”
Bundy told the crowd, Basically fight for liberty and freedom and we’re fighting against a federal government that’s overreached.”
News 4 reported that Bundy had “no visible critics” and that “most of the heads shook in agreement as Bundy delivered his remarks about the overreach of the federal government.”
When asked about revolution, Bundy responded that if the government doesn’t allow him the freedom to graze his cattle on public land without paying the greatly subsidized price for doing so, it’s gonna be shootin’ time.
“I did speak for ‘We the People’ when we said take away the arms from the federal government.” Bundy said. “Later I thought of that and each county sheriff should be taking these arms away from these federal bureaucracy. I did say if we don’t do that, if we don’t reign back this federal government, then we the people are going to have to fight and that’s a revelation.”
Recently, the Bundy family has been fighting another form of tyranny: Cliven’s son Ryan Bundy recently pulled his five children out of their respective schools because they were not permitted to show up on campus armed. “They’re trying to make my child a criminal – and any other child a criminal – for simply having something, and that is not right,” Ryan Bundy explained when the schools had an issue with his children bringing their knives to class.
